Table of Contents

Primosten is famous for its many beautiful beaches.

Thanks to its ideal position along the Adriatic Coast it bursts with many beaches. Its coastline faces the open sea and it is crowned by 7 small islets. Deservedly,  Primosten is one of the most sought-after destinations for a beach holiday in Croatia.

In this blog post, you will find the overview of the best beaches in Primosten

1. Mala Raduca Beach

Mala Raduca Beach lays near the center of Primosten. It is named by Raduca peninsula where it is located. It is south oriented towards the open sea and it is facing the picturesque old town of Primosten. This beach is covered with small fine pebbles that are pleasant to walk on.

Mala Raduca is one of the longest beaches of Primosten and the most popular.   At first sight, you can remark the almost endless number of parasols and sunbeds neatly arranged in several rows.  When it gets hot you can find shelter under the pine trees.

Furthermore, there are several cafes, restaurants, volleyball playground, and inflatables on the water for kids. Mala Raduca Beach in Primosten is very popular among families with children. Moreover, it is attractive for all age groups.

2. City Beach Primosten

City Beach Primosten also lays on peninsula Raduca, but on its north side. Here you will also find several cafes and inflatables for kids but fewer sunbeds and parasols for rent. The sea is crystal clear and the beach is made of fine small pebbles that are pleasant to put the towel and lay down.

This beach is also very popular for families with children because of the pine trees that provide shelter from the high sun.  It is also a starting point for diving tours.

City beach is U-shaped and sheltered from the wind, so there are no big waves. Beach is perfect for snorkeling and relaxing on sea mattresses and SUP paddling.

3. Beach Lucice

Beach Lucice lays along the main promenade of Primosten, offering a view of the old town and port. Cafes, restaurants, and shops are just a few steps away. There is also a small playground for children.

4. Rtic Beach

Rtic Beach is a smaller beach located in a peaceful bay. Its distance to the center of Primosten is approximately 2 kilometers

This beautiful beach of Primosten never gets too packed, unlike beaches closer to the center of Primosten.

5. Bilo Beach

Bilo Beach is located in Primosten county, in a small settlement named Bilo.  This beach resides in a small U-shaped bay, that is oriented to the west.    There are no cafes and restaurants here but it is one of the best places when you want to spend some relaxing time on the beach. It is one of the best beaches in Primosten to enjoy the sunset!

6. Beach Saint George

Beach Saint George, also called „Spiagetta“, is a small beach on the east side of the old town, on a charming peninsula.

This beach is a favorite place for the locals. They usually come here for a short swim in the afternoon after lunch and before the afternoon coffee or tea. Is there any better way to freshen up during the hot summer days? This is a true Mediterranean lifestyle!

Beach Saint George could also easily become your favorite beach in Primosten. The secret is that this beach is oriented east-south, and on the back, there is an old town, that provides deep shade. Also, here you can find some nice cafes and restaurants.

One of my favorite places is seafront Konoba Toni. Their outside tables are by the sea and you can feel the pleasant breeze while dining!

7. Beach Porat

Beach Porat is one of the not so touristy beaches in Primosten and that is what it makes it special. It is located opposite the Primosten peninsula.

The closest parking lot you can find in port or near the primary school of Primosten. If you decide to drive the closest to this beach, keep in mind that one part of the road is macadam. In my opinion, the best way to come to Porat beach is cycling, walking or boating!

8. June Beach

June Beach is also one of the beaches that are never overcrowded. It is very near the Porat Beach.

The reason why the June beach is not so visited is that it is not so easily accessible by car. Thus, this is an ideal place to hide and enjoy the sun and the sea.

June beach is mostly pebbly. There are also some parts that are rocky.

9. Smokvica Beach

Smokvica is one of the small islands surrounding Primosten. It is only 400 meters away from the Raduca peninsula.

Smokvica Beach is one of the rare places in Primosten area where you can find beaches for naturists. The best way to get to Smokvica is to take one of the taxi boats from the port of Primosten.

10. Hidden beaches of Primosten

Primosten Riviera has a beautiful long coast. It is easy to find some hidden places where you will feel like on your private beach.

Also, there are 7 small islets surrounding Primosten that are also worth a visit. If you have boating licenses, don’t think twice about exploring them. You can choose from renting a small rib-type boat, a pasara, a bigger speedboat, or even a yacht.

Visit Primosten and enjoy beautiful and safe beaches!  Dive in the crystal clear sea and enjoy in this part of paradise on Earth!
